From our centrally located offices in Antequera town, we are able to offer our clients the best selection of town and country properties in and around the region. Antequera is a large market town of approx. 42,000 inhabitants. The town is very well located in the South of the province of Andalucía, inland from the Costa del Sol by about 50 km. The motorway and rail links are excellent to all areas of the province and beyond.
We cover a fairly extensive area between Ronda, Seville and Granada provinces. In the main we offer quality country properties and a selection of village houses in the more well serviced “white villages “ – the most popular of which are Almogía, Villanueva de la Concepción, Mollina, Salinas, Izanjar, Colmenar, Casabermeja, Villanueva de Rosario and Villanueva del Trabuco.
Antequera
Antequera’s origins begin some 5,000 years ago and has been inhabited by Romans and Moors in past centuries. It is a town rich in history and the architecture tells the tale of the town’s history, from Bronze age burial mounds, Roman baths and Moorish castles, Renaissance fountains and Gothic churches. Surrounding the town are fertile plans irrigated by the Gualahorce river.
This region is one of the most fertile in Andalucía and is one of the leading producers of cereals, broad beans and asparagus and of course olives. In summer the fields are full of stunning yellow sunflowers, which produce sunflower oil.
In Antequera you will find the historic and the modern in harmony with each other. With a population of approx 45,000 people, Antequera is busy town, offering residents and visitors alike a great choice of restaurants, shops, leisure facilties, A modern hospital and a number of private medical and dental clinic. Antequera Golf Club attracts many visitors to its spectacular 18 hole course located in the sierra above the town.
